Tosham
is a Historic Town situated in Aravali Hill range of Bhiwani District (Haryana)
India. It is a Sub-division of District
Bhiwani in Haryana State (India).
Most
Famous places to visit in Tosham town are: There is a small hill fort located
on the Tosham Hill, having great historical value. This fort is today in a
ruined condion. This small fort was constructed during the reign of Great
ruler, Prithvi Raj Chauhan. It is kown as ‘Prithvi Raj ki Kachehri (Baradari’).
Tosham
Hills are also known for Rock Inscriptions in Sanskrit language.
Tosham
hills have very famous temples. These temples have great importance for local
population of Tosham.

History
of Tosham actually dates back to 4th century B.C. when it was ruled
by mighty Gupta Emperors.Tosham Hills were famous in ancient times for the
steatite mining. In contemporary times, Stone mines are there for the stone
material used for the construction purposes. Sanskrit Rock Inscriptions in
Tosham Hills, has proven it.
Today,
about 75 percent population of the Tosham Sub-division area is involved in
agriculture. Today, Tosham people are also engaged in various industrial units
in Bhiwani.
